Submit your digital photos of newsworthy events
We invite
all community members to submit their photographs for possible display on the
website. We are looking for photos of newsworthy events or general human
interest in our region.
The Camera page will be updated either weekly or
montly depending on the number of photo submissions we receive.
Chosen photos
will be featured on the Mountain Mail website and may possibly be used in our
print edition if it is a particularly newsworthy photograph.
Photos should be
submitted digitally via e-mail to: photos@avpsalida.com and should be at least 500 pixels wide by 72dpi. Please try to keep
file sizes under 4MB. Don't forget to include your name and some background
information as to what the image is about and why you took the picture as this
will increase your chances of selection.
Keep in mind when photographing a
newsworthy event not to endanger yourself or others, do not take any unnecessary
risks or infringe any laws. Under no circumstances should you interfere with or
obstruct any rescue efforts in the pursuit of photographs.

In contributing to The Mountain
Mail you agree to grant us a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to publish and
otherwise use the material in any way that we want, and in any media
worldwide.
It's important to note, however, that you still own the copyright
to everything you contribute to The Mountain Mail and that if your image is
accepted, we will endeavor to publish your name alongside it on The Mountain
Mail website. The Mountain Mail cannot guarantee that all pictures will be used
and we reserve the right to edit your comments. At no time should you endanger
yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws.
