Color specialist returns to Salida, Soma Salon

Janine Batinich, color specialist, makes her return to Salida by joining Soma Salon on First Street, across from Laughing Ladies Café.
Batinich previously owned Tangles Salon but sold it when she moved to California. She decided to move back because she "couldn't stay away," she said.
"Once you've lived here, it's in your heart, it's in your blood," Batinich said.
California also didn't suit her. Batinich said it was "too crowded." On the flip side, she did bring back with her the latest trends and designs for hair she said.
Batinich is a color specialist for the salon and will be offering semi and permanent hair color, highlighting, haircuts for men, women and children, conditioning, perms, chemical straightening, clear shines and facial waxing.
She hopes to be able to offer full body waxing after November.
She began at the end of August and is now accepting appointments.
Batinich works Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. She can be reached by phone at 539-3580 or 221-1838.
